Where your money goes
We publish this because fairness to guides is a commitment, not a slogan. Of each $24.75 conversation in a monthly membership:

$8.00 per 30 minutes is an effective $16/hour. In Bhutan, a guide hosting ten conversations a week earns meaningfully above the national average salary — from home, on their own schedule. Guides see their pay for every booking before they accept it.
The fine print, in plain words
- Reschedule or cancel free up to 12 hours before a conversation. Inside 12 hours, the session is used — your guide is paid for the reserved time.
- If a guide can’t make it or the technology fails, you get the session back automatically — and a refund on request.
- Subscription refunds: unused sessions in the current period, refunded pro-rata on request.
